Fall Deprogramming 2026
articule is introducing a deprogramming approach for Fall 2026. The center is at a pivotal moment in its history, as we will be moving in October after five years at the Plaza Saint-Hubert gallery space. At this crossroads, and in anticipation of major disruptions to the schedule and logistics of our programming, the articule team issued a call for proposals last fall to gather ideas that would treat this uncertainty as an opportunity to unveil a brand-new formula.

very abstract and a little bit harsh: a screening and reading traces the political consciousness of Lily Jue Sheng’s practice through a decade of their experience around unstable cinema economies. The program will be accompanied by a short poetry reading that draws from class struggles across various fronts and fissures, followed by a Q&A with Steff Huì Cí Ling, a writer and researcher based in Vancouver (xwməθkwəy̓əm Musqueam, Skwxwú7mesh Squamish, and Səl̓ílwətaʔ / Selilwitulh / Tsleil-Waututh).
Satluj — Community Screening and Discussion
Join us Friday, August 28th for a community screening of Satluj (2026), directed by Honey Trehan and starring Diljit Dosanjh, Arjun Rampal and Geetika Vidya Olyan. The biopic film follows the journey of Punjabi human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra. This screening will be a place to gather and discuss the film.

As part of the 8th edition of Montreal Monochrome, OML STUDIOS presents "BEYOND chaos", a film that traces the creation of the Chaos Fashion Show presented in Montreal last June, a fashion event proudly bearing the colors of the Caribbean culture and featuring exclusively Afro-descendant models.
