Gallery exhibition at articule from August 29 to October 4, 2025
The opening reception at articule will take place on August 29, from 5 to 7 p.m.
articule and MAI (Montréal, arts interculturels) are pleased to invite you to the opening of the international exhibition Les tableaux perdus: un prélude au retour. The project, curated by Rula Khoury, Joëlle Tomb and Haidi Motola, will be presented simultaneously in our two gallery spaces.
53 paintings lost during the Nakba, reclaimed and reimagined
This exhibition brings together 53 artists from Palestine and its diaspora. They are invited to reimagine the missing works of Palestinian-Lebanese artist Maroun Tomb, whose 1947 exhibition in Haifa was lost in the crisis of mass displacement and dispossession of Palestinians during the Nakba. The works resurrect a moment that was almost erased until it was discovered in archival documents.
This traveling exhibition spans two sites - MAI (Montréal, arts interculturels) and articule. Please consult our calendar for details of opening events and public activities.

Statement In Solidarity : articule
The articule team recently had a discussion about the active involvement of its center in terms of engagement in social justice. As a center that has a mandate to be constantly engaged, we want to share the various injustices affecting the multiple communities that make up our ecosystem. With this in mind, we have decided to create a living document where everyone can share links of support and action.
