Call for Proposals - Programming 2027-2028
Deadline: December 14, 2026, 11:59 pm EST

articule invites local, national and international artists, collectives, art institutions and curators to submit exhibition proposals for our 2027-2028 Programming year, which runs from August 2027 to June 2028.

As an artist-run centre dedicated to the presentation of a wide range of practices in contemporary art, who supports experimentation and social engagement, articule welcomes both emerging artists as well as those who have established important precedents and continue to commit themselves to the ideals of experimentation and risk-taking. We particularly encourage Indigenous artists and artists of colour to submit proposals, as well as artists with disabilities and self-identifying trans and gender non-conforming artists.

Before sending your submission, we invite you to visit our website to get more information on the different types of programming articule presents, our mandate, Basis of Unity and Programming Policy. Artist fees paid by articule are based on CARFAC Fee Schedule recommendations plus 3%.

Please note that articule is currently in the process of moving and, thus, we don’t have a detailed floor plan available yet. Our new space will be comparable in size to our present location. However, it will no longer be on the ground floor and, at least initially, not be wheelchair accessible. A floor plan will be made available as soon as possible.

If you have any questions about our future location or the submission process, please contact Samuel at programmation@articule.org

Proposals must include:

  • a completed submission form

  • clear description of the project and artist statement (max 500 words each.)

  • A Curriculum Vitae (for each participant, if more than one)

  • Visual support material:

    • Maximum of 12 digital images, clearly identified

    • Maximum of two video links, clearly identified (maximum of 10 minutes)

    • Website or social media links, if any

    • Please include a descriptive list of all visual materials with titles, dates, dimensions, and mediums.

Additional documents may also include:

  • A detailed budget

  • A technical plan or exhibition layout

  • A specific date for presentation

  • Any other document you deem pertinent to your application

YOUR APPLICATION MUST BE SENT IN PDF FORMAT as a single file including: the submission form, description of project and artist statement, your support material and any additional documents. If you are unable to compile everything in one file, we will accept a COMPRESSED FOLDER (.zip) containing the submission form and all the above listed documents.
