Members’ Show — living room
The Members’ Show will take place from May 29 to June 20, 2026.
Opening reception on May 29, 2026, from 5 to 8 PM.
articule is inviting our membership to turn the gallery space into a living room with all that that entails - a space for socializing, a space to collect our things, a space where life happens! We want the gallery space to become a container for activities, a place filled with the traces of our engagement.
Crumbs on the rug, a tea stain on the coffee table, a forgotten scarf... Come discover works that pierce the intimate space and reveal the connections between bodies and communities, memory and living spaces, as well as between ancestral heritage and urban regeneration.
Join our members for the opening of the exhibition on Friday, May 29, 2026, starting at 5 PM! The evening will feature a duo performance by Amaralina Ramalho Alvarez and Xhunaxhi Ortega, as well as the individual performances of Ioana Tater, fernando belote, and Marcella França. The exhibition will run through June 20th and will feature several performances and interactive activities. More information will be available soon.
The Members Committee is in charge of coordinating member initiatives and events, responding to member needs, and planning the annual Members’ Show. For questions about joining the Members’ Club, please write to James at outreach@articule.org.
Artists’ Biographies

Tricia Enns (she/they) is a relational and place-based artist whose practice draws on a dispersive gathering of methods: sound art, map-making, walking, zines, paper-making, and 3D-scanning. In 2025–26, their work was presented at and supported by Ada X, HTMLles Festival, Sound Art Lab (Denmark), Walking-as-Practice (Sweden), NYC Trash Club, and UKAI.

Katya Anderson is a Scottish-Canadian visual artist of Ukrainian-Khakas descent. Applying their theoretical background in Philosophy (UBC 2020) and Film Studies to develop their arts practice, Katya has produced commissioned work in sculpture, and created projects supported by public funding through Creative Scotland. She attended the Early Career Artist Residency in Banff in the spring of 2026.

Marilou André is a visual artist that lives in Tiohtià:ke | Mooniyang | Montreal. Her works examines urban space, communities and activism to create new forms of memories. Her work is interested in the intersections between cultural identities, particularly in dialogue with Indigenous worlds, and examines human behaviors in relation to land, biodiversity, and extractivism.

fernando belote is a neurodivergent queer Brazilian immigrant artist working across documentation, archiving, performance, and aestheticization of Bajubá—a linguistic Afro-trans heritage extended to LGBTQIA+ communities in Brazil through intersections of race and dissidence.

Danielle Bro-Morel studied art at the University of Ottawa and at the School of Visual and Media Arts at UQAM. Since 2023, she has participated in exhibitions at the Arts Sutton artist-run center and at articule. A solo exhibition is planned at the Musée Beaulne in Coatikook from May 17 to June 28, 2026.

kimura byol lemoine is a multimedia artist and curator, born in korea (south), educated in belgium, and established to canada. kimura-lemoine’s visual work, poems/writing and short films were presented internationally solo and in group. Zer works on issues surrounding identities: diaspora, ethnicity, colorism, gender, and play with words. kimura-lemoine doesn’t like to use capital letters.

Gizem Candan is an interdisciplinary artist and curator working across painting, installation, video, bioplastics, compost, earth and botanical pigments. Her artistic and curatorial practice explores the tensions and interactions between human and non-human figures and their surroundings, envisioning a reimagined landscape using natural elements both as materials and motives.

Kathryn Delaney lives and works in Tiohtià:ke - Mooniyang – Montréal. She has a Master of Fine Arts and a Bachelor in Studio Arts from Concordia University. Awarded by the Conseil québécois de l’Estampe, Delaney has a broad experience in culture and visual language in Montreal and Nunavik. She was an artist in residence in Akulivik, Inukjuak, Ivujivik, Kangiqsujuaq, Salluit (Nunavik). Diverse and shared histories within communities inspire her creative expression. As a co-founder of Illirriavut collective with Inuit artists from Ivujivik (Nunavik) and Montréal, her work has been exhibited in galleries and artist run centers in Montreal, Paris, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Toronto and Trois-Rivières. More recently, one of her project of silkscreen prints was presented in South Korea and last summer in the BIECTR, Trois-Rivières. Her artwork is featured in private collections in Québec, Ontario, USA and France and in the Banque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ).

As an interdisciplinary artist based in Montreal, José Dupuis create sensual, feminist, and poetic works that explore identity and representation. Her body—and the body in general—becomes a space for exploration and tension. Through presence, breath, and metamorphosis, she explores these areas of ambiguity with a touch of irony.

Marcella França is a multimedia artiste, performer, creative technologist and masters candidate in New Media Art at UQAC - NAD. Her multidisciplinarity focuses on the relationship between contemporary ecofeminist issues, imigration and Climate crisis.

Born in Nova Scotia, Melza Harvey has made Montréal her home. She creates emotionally charged work that challenges perception through a surrealist lens. Holding a BFA in Ceramics, along with technical training from the Centre de Céramique Bonsecours, Melza brings both artistic and material expertise to her practice. In addition to her studio work, she shares her knowledge through teaching, leading ceramics workshops in community centres and seniors’ residences across Montréal.

Anka Kassabji is a multidisciplinary artist with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Concordia University. Her artistic focus revolves around exploring fluidity, rhythm, and movement. Anka aims to create dream-like scenery through diverse styles and forms of drawing, painting and dance.

Vincent Lacasse explores a curatorial practice with Expo Miroir, writing for Ex Situ, Estuaire, and XYZ in poetry, and for Vrille, Galerie R3, and Espace Libre in performance. He is interested in the intersection of art and activism, interventions in public spaces, relational aesthetics, and the bodily analysis of social violence.

Laura as a designer worked in lighting, with paper wall partitions and renovated portable vacation homes. In ceramics she’s exploring a speculative future as an alternative to the order of reality she has been given. In 2021 she founded atelier clé, a collective ceramic studio in Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang/Montréal.

Amaralina Ramalho Alvarez is a multidisciplinary artist based in Tiohtià:ke / Mooniyang / Montreal. Her practice draws on textiles, performance, and installation to explore the connections between materials, gestures, and the circulation of narratives. She is interested in forms of transmission, experiences of displacement, and the relationships between bodies and territories.

Based in Tiohtià:ke / Mooniyang / Montréal, Xhunaxhi Ortega explores performance and installation through an interdisciplinary approach centered on the image. Trained at UQAM and HEAD-Geneva, she develops immersive installations. She has presented her work in Paramètres XXIV (Place des Arts, recipient of the McAbbie grant) and in Territoires diasporiques (Montreal, 2026)."

Sheer Spite Press is a small press in Tiohtià:ke / Montréal run by the writer and zinemaker Lee Arden, that aims to publish and distribute beautiful, affordable, useful, generous, political, funny, heart-filled books and zines.

After arriving in Montreal in 1992, Louie H. Prat continued the artistic training she had begun in France at UQÀM. Her installations and “poem-objects” have been featured in numerous group and solo exhibitions, as well as in exhibitions held in private apartments, primarily in Montreal, but also elsewhere in Quebec (Rouyn, Armagh) and in Gandzer (Germany).

Yuki Kéké Tam (she/they) is a multi-disciplinary artist, writer, and educator of Chinese descent living on Turtle Island (colonial Canada). Their multi-disciplinary practice examines quiet resistance and care woven into everyday life. They are nurtured through a Masters of Fine Arts (Printmaking, Concordia University) is supported by a background in Human Rights and Equity Studies (York University).

Ioana Tațer works primarily with fibers, biocomposites, and natural dyes. She holds a BFA from Concordia University and a technical diploma in Wildlife Management from Cégep Saint-Laurent. She exhibited in Marin and Mandra, Romania in 2025 and at 4th Space Concordia in 2026. Presently she is working with mycelium under the mentorship of Amélie Brindamour.

Camille-Zoé Valcourt-Synnott is a multidisciplinary artist and arts worker from Quebec City (QC). She earned a BFA in Print Media from Concordia University in 2018 and an MFA in Fine and Media Arts from NSCAD University in 2020. Her work has been featured in artist-run centres and galleries across Canada.

David Widgington (he/him/they) is a self-proclaimed undisciplinary artivist. He has an MA research-creation in Media Studies from Concordia University. He has exhibited in Montréal, Rivière Trois-Pistoles QC, Marseille, Santiago de Chile, and recently in Toronto. Widgington has received support from the Canada Council for the Arts.

Jinjoo Yang is an artist and architect based in Montreal. Through video and installation, she constructs spatial experience shaped by specific sites. Her work has been presented internationally, including at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Center for Architecture, and Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.

Hanna Zahorna is a Ukrainian-Canadian multidisciplinary artist based in Montreal. Her practice explores the city as a sensitive space, through fluid watercolors that reveal traces of movement, memory, and presence. She works from the experience of the place, allowing gesture and water to reveal its traces.

Joliz Dela Peña is a Filipino self-taught interdisciplinary artist based in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal whose practice centers on
performance as a form of embodied storytelling, protest, and collective memory. Working across performance, video
and photography she explores themes of migration, displacement, labor, longing, and diasporic hybrid identity.

Kaja Levy’s moving image work explores the theatrics of expressing sensitivity. She is interested in the spectacle of vulnerability accessed through film and video. She has presented with XXIV Rencontres Internationales Traverse, Harcourt House, the Academy of Art Video Art, Galerie FOFA, the Winnipeg Underground Film Festival, Film Pop Montreal, and Long Winter Toronto.
Kaja graduated from the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema in 2016. She was born in Poland under Soviet occupation and is now based in Tiohtià:ke (Montréal), unceded Kanien’kehá:ka territory. She is a member of Available Light Screening Collective and co-founded Burnt Experimental Film and Video Art Festival with video artist Anna Grigorian and Chantale Potié of Double bonheur studio.
