Lemon Party! 🍋
Artist Talk and Lemon Party! on November 23, 2024 at 4 PM
articule would like to extend it’s most cordial invitation to an Artist Talk and Lemon Party! 🍋 On November 23rd at 4 PM dress in your finest yellow duds to explore Chun Hua Catherine Dong’s exhibition I Wonder How I Wonder Why.
The artist will be in attendance, giving a guided tour and insight into the art-making process. For Dong, the song “Lemon Tree” by Fool’s Garden represents the dream of life in the west bright, carefree and filled with promise. In lieu of a traditional artist talk Dong seeks to create a gathering focused on evoking those feelings. There will be music, meringue and merriment!
The artist will be in attendance and providing a short guided tour. Yellow or green apparel and wigs are strongly encouraged.

Chun Hua Catherine Dong (she/they) is a Chinese-born Tiohtià:ke/ Montréal-based artist. Dong’s work has been exhibited at The International Digital Art Biennial Montréal (BIAN), MOMENTA | Biennale de l’image, Mac VAL in Paris, Quebec City Biennial, Foundation PHI, and many other galleries. Dong was a finalist for the Contemporary Art Award at Le Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec in 2020, awarded with Cultural Diversity in Visual Arts by the Conseil des arts de Montréal in 202l, and long-listed for the Sobey Art Award in 2024.
