Sandra Tomb is a Lebanese-Canadian artist whose work bridges cultural boundaries, reflecting her deep connection to both her Middle Eastern roots and her diverse international experiences. Raised in a family of artists, with her father, the celebrated Lebanese artist Fouad Tomb, as a key influence, Sandra’s passion for art was nurtured from an early age. Her formative years in Beirut exposed her to the rich visual traditions of the Arab world, where she first participated in various competitions and collective exhibitions.
In pursuit of refining her artistic vision, Sandra moved to Canada to study at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM), where she enrolled in the art history program and furthered her expertise in drawing and painting. During this period, she began to define her personal style—one that seamlessly blends the aesthetic influences of both East and West. Her time in Canada also served as a springboard for exploring themes of identity, culture, and self-expression in her artwork.
Sandra’s art has been exhibited internationally, with notable shows in cities such as Montreal, Dubai, Qatar, New York, and Boston. This global exposure has allowed her to engage with a diverse audience and enrich her work through a variety of cultural perspectives.
Music and dance have been significant sources of inspiration in Sandra’s paintings, infusing her work with energy and rhythm. Her use of color is particularly expressive—each hue carefully chosen to convey emotions, moods, and aspects of her inner world. Through her art, Sandra seeks to communicate not just an aesthetic vision, but a deep, personal narrative rooted in both her heritage and her lived experiences across the world.
Today, Sandra continues to explore new artistic avenues while staying deeply connected to her roots. Her work remains a fusion of tradition and modernity, offering a contemporary interpretation of the Arab world, while celebrating the vibrancy of life itself.
