Call for Proposals - Programming 2026-2027
Deadline: December 16, 2025, 11:59 pm EST

For its 2026-2027 programming year, articule has chosen DEPROGRAMMING as its theme. Following a move in the middle of the pandemic, staff turnover, burnout, and financial uncertainty, articule is scheduling some time to recalibrate. We invite you to transform and adapt our space, to try out fresh ideas, and to make old ideas new again.

Taking a break from 6-week exhibitions, we are seeking proposals that may not fit neatly into a white cube, such as public interventions, live art projects, happenings, new artistic practices, public talks, workshops, screenings–any and all sort of undisciplinary activities. We invite local, national and international artists, collectives, art institutions and curators to submit proposals that respond to this theme in whatever way they see fit.

As an artist-run centre dedicated to the presentation of a wide range of practices in contemporary art, who supports experimentation and social engagement, articule welcomes both emerging artists and those who have established important precedents and continue to commit themselves to the ideals of experimentation and risk-taking. We particularly encourage Indigenous artists and artists of colour to submit proposals, as well as artists with disabilities, and trans and gender non-comforming artists.

Before sending your submission, we invite you to browse our website to get more information on the different types of programming articule presents, our mandate, Basis of Unity and Programming Policy, and to view our floor plan if the proposed project is going to happen inside the gallery. Artist fees paid by articule are based on CARFAC Fee Schedule recommendations plus 3%.
