Join the participants and organizers for the official launch of the 5th edition of Montreal Monochrome as well as an orientation on Emergency Landing.

articule's Fabulous Committee develops anti-oppression strategies to make the centre more inclusive and culturally diverse, this includes the artists we present through our programming as well as our internal structure (members, board, staff).

12pm - Intervention VII: Womb Cxre Presents: Landing(s) pt. 2, Phoebe Heinztman Hope

In this second half of a collaboration with CC:MTL's "Clap Back" series, voice and movement will be used as mediums to embody interpersonal landing(s). How does your voice land on others and in spaces you navigate? How is your body influenced by the voices of those around you? This invitation to reflect upon the ripple effect of micro landings works in tandem with the macro effect of the colonial and diasporic presence on Tiohtià:ke. Participants will first be guided through a solo vocal and body warm-up before moving into partner work that will stimulate wider discussions on embodied history, ancestry and future imaginaries. WORLD CUP! : Football, Social Movements, and Art at articule As part of the exhibition WORLD CUP!, Degane Sougal and Sheena Hoszko will discuss in an interview-style conversation football as it relates to resistance and community building, with a potential splash of art history.  Degane Sougal holds a BA, MA  and MSc Applied in Occupational Therapy. Her background in humanities has allowed her to integrate critical theory to OT practice.
